Feature set is great. They have a good selection of numbers available and let you choose the one you want.
That's where the good ends.
Audio quality is horrible. It appears that they have either overallocated their bandwidth or undersized their systems. Either way, the choppiness and popping will drive you and whoever you're talking to completely mad. It's not a codec issue (tried them all). It's not a protocol issue (tried both IAX2 and SIP with all codecs). It's not a bandwidth issue (Full T1 on my end with NO other traffic but one voice call). It's an EXGN configuration issue.
Politely asked for help through their trouble ticketing system (which is nice). Was first told that IAX is crap, switch to SIP. Ooooook. Same issue on SIP. Then was told I'm an idiot and they don't want my business and they are disabling my services!! I've never run into a company that would tell a customer that they are stupid and they don't want their business when the customer was just simply asking for help.
I would touch EXGN with a ten foot pole. Pricing is good. Features are good. Quality is lousy and customer service is the worst I have EVER encountered. I've been a CTO at a federal agency, own a successful technology company and sit on a couple of boards. So I'm not generally considered an idiot. And I've seen a lot of bad service in the past. EXGN takes the cake.
